Salmon Creek Windfall - milled wood for sale

In the Spirit of Windfall (see collage)
HS has spearheaded a windfall operation at Salmon Creek School in Occidental. A magnificent and young
(350 years) redwood tree fell over in a storm in 2003 and has been blessed in a community ceremony,
then milled, stacked, stickered and dried. Sale of the wood is benefitting the school's programs in
environmental education and sustainable forestry, and the new Salmon Creek Falls Environmental Center.
8,000 bd feet was milled and approximately 3,000 board feet of 1 X 12 & 1 x 10's remain which
would make a wonderful statement in someone's building project. There are also numerous stacks of figured
redwood burls, stacked and banded in fliches. A furniture makers dream!
(note: as of 5/07 - ALL 1X12'S & 1X10'S are sold - offcuts & slabs remain)
Contact Merle Reuser of Santa Rosa if you need portable sawmill services - he's the best!
