Tamm is building this cliff house using HS redwood
t&g flooring-Eric says, "Hi Bug -- I am happy to
report that the batch of chicken coop redwood floorboards
I bought from you back in Nov. 2005 worked out absolutely
great in our new home on the coast at Timber Cove. We did
the whole living room and kitchen with the wood floors; in
a few years we may be back at Heritage Salvage for more, to
do the bedrooms! |

Pat
Kelly (of Coastal Floorcoverings, Guerneville) was the floor
guy who did the installation. When he had scraped, trimmed,
laid, sanded, and finished (polyurethane) the boards and I
saw the result for the first time, I was BLOWN AWAY by the
beauty, overall effect, and many small details. And the floor
has received nothing but compliments from house guests. It
has a ton of character, and the softness and imperfections
in the wood only add to the wonderful "antiqued"
feel. It is gorgeous! (Pat and his team were scratching their
heads skeptically when they first saw the raggedy pile of
old manure-encrusted boards sitting in my driveway, but they
too were amazed by the transformation.)" |
