There is a huge floating garbage patch, a plastic gyre, in the Pacific Ocean two times size of Texas.

  Heritage Salvage is teaming with The Krush Radio to sponsor a local program to help share solutions on how we can use less plastic everyday, and help RETIRE THE GYRE!

  The KRUSH FAMILY REDUCE PLASTIC USE PROGRAM

  WHO: We will select 3 families, each with two parents and two children of any age living in the same household

  WHEN: 3 Weeks in MARCH-APRIL

  WHAT: ALL Family members track & save EVERY piece of plastic that goes through the household.

  This includes o rings from water bottles and drinks, plastic stamps on fruits and vegetables, all plastic containers, ect.

  Week 1: Business as ususal. Track & Save Plastic Used.

  Week 2: Family members make purchase choices that reduce use of plastic, some may come as suggestions from Krush listeners. Track & Save Plastic Used.

  Week 3: We will provide help and offers that further help reduce use, such as water filtration systems to reduce plastic water bottles. Track & Save Plastic Used

  Week 4: We gather all the plastic and have families on The Krush radio, Green Scene radio show to share the results!

  WHY: We want to help reduce Plastic in the ocean gyres. It all starts at home! We want to help educate, engage, and share the results. The more kids and families that learn and help the better!
