Eiko designed this fabulous clothing store on Hayes Street in San Francisco after walking through our yard for hours on end, going back to the city with photographs, imagining her choices in place and then flew in two wood artists from Japan. It was a joy to watch the prune trays become changing room doors, the redwood slabs achieve stardom as custom built counter tops with glass insets, the 4” cedar dance about the place as accents and old redwood posts become beautifully hewn supports! The sliding doors behind the counter were cleverly crafted from the 4” cedar also.
