Join 350 Home & Garden Challenge
Join in Daily Act's 350 home & garden challenge! It is Sonoma County's annual challenge to grow food, save water, conserve energy and build community.
Started last year to help create more resilient sustainable communities, the campaign goal to plant 350 gardens around Sonoma County, was exceeded as schools, churches, businesses, city governments all joined in planting 628 registered gardens.
Inspired by the success, this year Daily Acts is adding HOME to the challenge, to inspire more homeowners to plant vegetable gardens and fruit trees. This weekend's goal is 1,000 gardens planted and actions taken. Daily Acts has partnered with Sonoma County Water Agency, Energy Upgrade California and dozens of local businesses and organizations to help make it all happen.
Transition US.org inspired by the campaign's success last year, is promoting the Challenge nationally - 78 other communities will be taking actions too!
There is a comprehensive guide on Daily Acts website to projects you may participate in from sheet mulching the Petaluma library lawn, to installing gray water systems in a Cotati neighborhood and more,
and of course to register you own action.
It is easy to get involved and be inspired:
1. Register Your Action
2. Stand Up & Be Counted
3. Share With Friends & Neighbors
