Friedmans Offer Local Greener Choices
Friedman's Home Improvement stores have been serving Sonoma County for more than
65 years. In 1946, Barry Friedman's (VP Operations) grandfather opened the first Friedman's Brothers in Petaluma with his brother. The two brothers ran a salvage yard fixing old stoves and such, which led to the opening of Friedman Brothers. It is from these roots, that the saying "if we don't have it you don't
need it." originated. The brothers were green before green was in fashion.
Today Friedman's Home Improvement continues to offer green solutions for their customers. Several years ago they launched a Greener Choice Certification process that Rebecca Batista has developed into a full fledged program offering 1,000 products that are certified to be the more sustainable, green choice in thier category.
Throughout the stores customers may find green shelf talkers pointing to the products and educating customers on how to make sustainable choices.
Friedman's is a local business that actively cares about family and community and is doing its part to offer sustainable earth friendly solutions.
